Choosing music for your ceremony can seem like a duanting task. We are glad to help either by phone or in person to help you choose music that you think will suite your day. Below are a few tips to keep in mind when listening to selections on our site or a CD that you might have picked up with possible selections.
Most ceremonies require music for the following. Your ceremony may be different or have other needs than what you see below.

Prelude
- For the prelude we are glad to help you choose music or you can leave it up to us to choose our favorites. We try to play a mix of upbeat and slower classical pieces.
- Prelude usually starts 30 minutes before the ceremony
- Seating of the mothers/grandmothers
- Choose selections that are slower and reflective. The length should not be a problem as we are usually able to lengthen or shorten a piece to fit the needed timing.
- Bridesmaids/attendants entrance
- Choose a selection that is upbeat or slow. Some common choices that you can listen to below are: Jesu, Joy of Man's desiring, Air in G, Pachelbel's Canon, Entrance of the Queen, various hymns, etc. The length should not be a problem as we are usually able to lengthen or shorten a piece to fit the needed timing. The speed or tempo of these pieces can be adjusted if you think it is too fast or slow. Just let us know!
- Brides Processional
- This is usually your favorite piece and the one that you've always imagined walking down the isle to. Some common choices that you can listen to below are: Jesu, Joy of Man's desiring, Air in G, Pachelbel's Canon, Entrance of the Queen, various hymns, and of course the more traditional Wedding March by Wagner and Trumpet Voluntary. The speed or tempo of these pieces can be adjusted if you think it is too fast or slow. Just let us know!
- Unity candle/Communion/Reflection
- This is usually a reflective piece that may last only 20-30 seconds or several minutes if Communion is taken. Common selections are: Arioso, Largo from Winter, varous hymns, Ave Maria, Air in G.
- Recessional
- This is usually an upbeat piece. Common selections are: Wedding March by Mendelssohn, Hornpipe in D, Ode to Joy, Rondeau, Prelude from Te Deum.
- Postlude
- For postlude we usually perform 2-3 pieces that are classical and upbeat. These are for the guests as they are exitting. You can leave this up to us or select from your favorites.
